Services

Marigold Counseling PLLC offers collaborative and compassionate individual mental health therapy/counseling services in Wilmington, North Carolina to adults 18+.

I support people through a variety of life experiences and treat multiple mental health challenges. Some include but are not limited to: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety disorders, perinatal mental health struggles, life transitions, relational challenges, self esteem struggles, perfectionistic tendencies, and enmeshed relationships.

I take a person centered approach, pulling from a variety of evidenced based modalities to support my clients. Some of the therapeutic modalities I most commonly use include; Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), Strength Based Solution Oriented Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. I believe integrative treatment is most effective, and I strive to support people in establishing or maintaining foundations of health. I also love to collaborate with other providers when clinically appropriate (and desired by clients), to provide a more integrative approach.

Please know that I am licensed in North Carolina only, so if you are traveling out of the state, I am not able to provide tele-health while you are outside of NC.

Specialties:

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

OCD can be a very isolating experience, and those struggling with it can often be prone to feelings of shame. I find value in offering a space to support people navigating this disorder, by helping them face their fears in a thoughtful and evidenced based way. I utilize Exposure and Response Prevention Therapy (ERP), considered the “gold standard” therapeutic modality for treating OCD. I also work with clients to approach themselves from a lens of self compassion. I educate on common themes of OCD, helping to reduce stigma and shame.

Perinatal Mental Health (pregnancy and postpartum)

I have pursued additional training to support women experiencing mental health challenges such as postpartum anxiety and depression through Postpartum Support International (PSI) including the following coursework:

  • Perinatal Mood Disorders: Components of Care through PSI (14.5 hours)

  • Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Psychotherapy through PSI (6 hours)

Anxiety Disorders

I have experience treating a variety of anxiety disorders including: Generalized Anxiety, Social Anxiety, and Phobias.

I greatly value the therapeutic relationship. I do my best to make sure my clients feel comfortable, supported, and cared for. It’s an honor to do this work.
